The 2019–2020 NACS Scholarship program recipients have been announced! Eleven lucky students each will receive a $3,000 scholarship to an accredited college or university in the United States, as well as a stipend to attend the 2019 NACS Show, where they will be recognized during a special evening ceremony and given the first-hand opportunity to learn more about exciting career paths in the industry.

Each year, the NACS Foundation distributes up to 11 scholarships for costs toward undergraduate career education. Since its inception, the program has awarded more than $500,000 in scholarships to NACS retail member company employees.

The recipients of the 2019–2020 NACS Scholarship are:

  • Genevieve Beaumont, front end coordinator, Giant Eagle; Mercyhurst University
  • Hubert Celinski, assistant manager, Delta Sonic Car Wash; SIU-Carbondale
  • Jayden Dolechek, cashier, The Hub Convenience Stores Inc.; Dickinson State University
  • Jacob Forbes, salesperson, Sheetz; Temple University
  • Isaac Johnston, IT quality assurance intern, Sheetz; Liberty University
  • Sara Kendall, shift leader, QuickChek; Ocean County College
  • Mary Ledbetter, customer service specialist, Reeders LLC; Oklahoma State University
  • Erika Sanchez, district manager, Loaf ‘N Jug/ EG America; Laramie Community College
  • Kayla Swan, store assistant manager, Kwik Shop; University of Kansas
  • Mallory Vener, accounts payable, Fleming’s Auto Service; University of St. Thomas
  • Shae Wolfe, intern, Ho-Chunk Inc.; Dartmouth College

The NACS Scholarship Program has a long-standing mission to grow today’s top talent into tomorrow’s top performers through continuing education and professional development opportunities. Established in 1991, the NACS Scholarship was created as a vehicle for retailers to recognize, reward and inspire rising leaders within their companies.
