The NACS Foundation has announced the 2020–21 NACS Foundation Future Fund scholarship recipients. They are:

  • Alyssa Fawks, safety coordinator, Douglass Distributing; Southeastern Oklahoma State University
  • Danielle Mosley, HR coordinator, superpumper; Arizona State University
  • Evan Johnson, quality assurance field specialist, Sheetz; Saint Francis University
  • Isaac Johnston, application development intern, Sheetz; Liberty University
  • Jayden Dolechek, cashier, The Hub Convenience Stores Inc.; Dickinson State University
  • Kaitlyn Mason, team member, Get Go; Chatham University
  • Kayla Swan, store assistant manager, Kwik Shop; University of Kansas
  • Megan Wood, salesperson, Sheetz; Indiana University of Pennsylvania
  • Sara Kendall, assistant foodservice leader, Quick Chek; Ocean County College
  • Sarah DeMuth, associate (food prep+ cashier), Sheetz; Hagerstown Community College
  • Matthew McDonnell, detail customer advisor, Delta Sonic Car Wash; The University of Iowa

All applicants will receive a $3,000 scholarship award. Over the next few weeks, the NACS Foundation also will recognize each recipient for their outstanding achievements on the NACS Foundation website at www.conveniencecares.org. This year’s recipients were carefully selected by the NACS Foundation Future Fund selection committee based on the following criteria:

  • Demonstration of leadership and dedication to achieving excellence in convenience retailing
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the convenience and fuel retailing industry
  • Applicants must be currently employed at a NACS retail member company and must continue working for the nominating company throughout the scholarship period
  • Applicants must be enrolled in/or will be enrolled in academic study as full-time or part-time undergraduate college students throughout the fall 2020/spring 2021 terms
  • Applicants must continue in school for the entire academic year without interruption, barring illness, emergency or military service. Recipients may transfer schools and retain the award
  • Applications should have been submitted on-time and complete with all required attachments (applicant data and questionnaire, nomination form, essay) for consideration.
